Couples Consulting
Short-term, attachment-based couples consulting designed to help partners clarify their relationship’s future and decide collaboratively on how to move forward.
Session 1:The "Map"
Conjoint Intake
We start by looking at the lay of the land together. In this first joint session, we will explore your relationship’s history, identify your primary goals, and map out the current dynamics that are bringing you in.Sessions 2& 3: The "You Are Here" Sticker
Individual Assessments
Next, we take a step back to examine your individual histories. In these two separate sessions, we will explore your personal attachment styles to uncover how early-life patterns likely act as roadblocks in your current relationship (and what you’ll need to do to overcome them).Session 4:The "Path Forward"
Final Consultation
Our final meeting is focused on decision-making. By integrating the insights from our previous meetings, I will support you both in deciding on your next steps—whether that means moving forward together or safely transitioning to a different path.
Clarity in Four Sessions
Outcomes
Although I cannot guarantee a specific outcome, here are a few paths that couples decide to take after our short-term work together:
-For some couples, understanding their own relationship patterns (and learning those of their partner) brings enough clarity to move forward and toward one another in a new, healthier, and more secure way.
-Others may decide to pursue additional, long-term couples therapy, and I provide a short list of referrals - folks who are doing good work in this space.
-Occassionally, the clarity that comes from this process results in couples deciding to take a planned separation or to safely de-couple.
No matter the results, getting clear about your needs and your values is the real gift of the process.
The ultimate goal: for each individual to honor their stories, their needs, and their values… to feel secure and walk in their own worth regardless of the outcome.
Fees
Listed fees include all 4 sessions and all assessments, and are paid in full prior to the first scheduled session.
